Our History
Our Lady of the Wayside National School, Bluebell was founded in 1960 under the Patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin. Our Lady of the Wayside N.S. aims to create a safe positive, child-centered educational environment, in which diversity is recognised and individual needs are catered for. The whole school community works in a supportive and caring manner where parental involvement is welcomed and encouraged.

School Facilities
We are very proud of the range of facilities at Our Lady of the Wayside N.S. Our all-weather astro pitch is a wonderful addition to our extensive grounds. We have a selection of keyboards, guitars and other musical instruments. We also have full sets of iPads and laptops for the children to use.

School Activities
We work hard to provide a range of activities at Our Lady of the Wayside N.S. Our soccer teams compete successfully in a range of competitions. We also offer children access to lots of other sports including GAA, boxing, athletics and dance.
Our gardening club are very active in the school and look after our flowerbeds and school garden. They are helped out by our Green school commitee. We also have an after-school club for the infants as well as weekly music lessons from a qualified music teacher.
